Dwayne has over 30 years’ experience in occupational safety and fire protection. He holds a Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management and a Bachelor of Science in Fire Prevention and Control. He is also a Board Certified Safety & Health Manager (CSHM) accredited by the Council on Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards. With Advanced Safety & Health, Dwayne and his staff have worked with clients such as LG&E Energy Services, Lockheed Martin, Beam-Suntory, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, BASF Corporation, Corrections Corporation of America, American Electric Power, FreightCar America, and many others where they are involved in multiple aspects of occupational safety management, regulatory compliance, and injury prevention services. Prior to establishing the company in 2000, Dwayne was the Accident Prevention Leader for EBI Companies in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has served as a corporate safety and security manager for a large manufacturing company as well as a safety engineer for a U.S. defense contractor working on the production of the Multiple Launch Rocket System and various other weapons projects for the military. Along with his safety background, Dwayne also has a significant experience in various fire and emergency services capacities. He has a proven track record of assisting companies in developing and executing accident prevention strategies that have seen tangible results in reducing the frequency and severity of occurrences and in turn saving companies millions of dollars and preventing hundreds of injuries each year. Dwayne is an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for the General Industry 10- and 30-hour programs and performed for many years as a trainer for the OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) at Eastern Kentucky University. With the OTIEC Program, Dwayne instructed a significant number of the OSHA-numbered courses as well as specialty safety training for the various U.S. Army Safety Officers Courses and the Correctional Safety Officers Certificate Program. In addition, he has served as an Adjunct Instructor for the Indiana University Occupational Safety undergraduate program. With over 30 years’ experience in the safety field, Dwayne is qualified to offer safety expert witness and litigation support (consulting expert) for clients located throughout the United States. He has worked with numerous clients and their legal counsel on OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, and safety liability matters.
Greg is based out of Central Pennsylvania and is a Board Certified Safety Professional with over twenty four years of experience in the safety, health, and environmental field. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Hygiene Management and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Greg is also an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for the Construction Industry 10- and 30-hour programs. Since 2003 when Greg joined the organization, he has provided safety, health and environmental services to a variety of industrial, service, transportation, construction and warehousing clients. He has worked with clients such as United Therapeutics Corp, Maker’s Mark Distilleries, Valiant Construction, Independent Stave, Lockheed Martin, Crayola, and many others. His strengths include regulatory compliance, auditing, program development and implementation, injury and illness prevention, industrial hygiene monitoring, hazard analysis and abatement, recordkeeping and reporting, as well as training. Prior to joining Advanced Safety & Health, Greg spent the majority of his time in industries where he worked for wood, metal cutting tools, synthetic cutting and cooling fluids, abrasive wheel, machinery, food and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Additionally, he was an Accident Prevention Specialist for a workers’ compensation insurance company where he serviced clients in the industrial and service sectors. Throughout his career, Greg has excelled at reducing injuries and illnesses and workers’ compensation costs; implementing cost-effective solutions; and streamlining programs, permitting, and recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
Fire Safety Technician
Derek's main focus is developing emergency evacuation route diagrams for clients. These diagrams help ensure compliance with applicable standards and provide a means to assist the client to ensure the safe and efficient evacuation and protection of building occupants in the event of an emergency. Derek has five years’ experience in designing and developing Evacuation Route Diagrams specific to the client’s needs and applications. He utilizes ASTM E2238-12 “Standard Guide for Evacuation Route Diagrams” which covers the evacuation of building occupants when directed by emergency response authorities in emergencies such as fire, tornado, bomb threat, and the like. Derek has worked with clients such as St. Matthews Animal Clinic, Toyota Motor Manufacturing – Georgetown, Kentucky Facility, Immaculate Conception Church, Boys & Girls Club of Kentuckiana, and Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. He serves as a full-time Firefighter/EMT with the Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS Department in Louisville (Kentucky) as well as a part-time Firefighter/EMT with the North Oldham Fire District in Goshen (Kentucky). Additionally, he is a Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor with the American Heart Association.
